What is Distraction-Free Schools, Indiana?
Distraction-Free Schools Indiana is a coalition of parents, educators, and community members united in calling for legislative action to address the overuse of smartphones, social media, and “ed tech” in Indiana schools.
DFS Indiana is a growing, completely volunteer-run advocacy group pushing for phone-free, social media-free, and distraction-free schools through state legislation. Our all-volunteer state team is part of the national Distraction-Free Schools Policy Project, an initiative led by Becca Schmill Foundation and Smartphone Free Childhood U.S.
